Бойовиків незаконних збройних формувань заочно засуджено до 9, 10 та 11 років позбавлення волі. Усі вони впродовж 2014-2018 років брали активну участь у бойових діях проти ЗСУ, обіймали «командні пости», інструктували терористів і вербували для них новобранців.

Він організував підпал військового автомобіля ЗСУ в Одесі у грудні 2021 року, облив пам’ятник загиблим у війні з РФ українцям. Його наступними цілями мали стати офіси волонтерських та громадсько-політичних структур патріотичного спрямування, а також військова техніка в Одеській області.
Співробітники СБУ викрили агента російської військової розвідки, який спланував серію терактів в Одеській області. Зловмисника затримали «на гарячому», коли він вербував виконавця для майбутніх злочинів. За інформацією СБУ, агентом виявився іноземець, який періодично приїжджав в Україну за завданням російських спецслужб. Його кураторами були представники російської військової розвідки, які діють з території невизнаної Придністровської молдавської республіки. Головним завданням зловмисника було розхитування суспільно-політичної ситуації в Одеській області через проведення диверсій та терористичних актів. Уже встановлено, що він організував підпал військового автомобіля ЗСУ в Одесі у грудні 2021 року, облив пам’ятник загиблим у війні з РФ українцям. Наступними об’єктами посягання агента мали стати офіси волонтерських та громадсько-політичних структур патріотичного спрямування, а також військова техніка в Одеській області. Таким чином російські спецслужби хотіли провести інформаційно-психологічні спецоперації в контексті нібито «наявності на території Одеського регіону проросійського підпілля та антиукраїнських настроїв населення». Співробітники СБУ затримали організатора під час його зустрічі із виконавцем. Зловмисник ставив нове завдання щодо підпалу військової техніки та передав гроші за попередній підпал автомобіля ЗСУ. Наразі слідчі СБУ повідомили агенту про підозру за ч. 2 ст. 258 (терористичний акт) Кримінального кодексу України. Фігуранту обрано запобіжний захід у вигляді тримання під вартою. Викриття зловмисників та документування протиправної діяльності проводили співробітники СБУ за процесуального керівництва Одеської обласної прокуратури. Тривають слідчі дії.

WASHINGTON — The Biden administration accused Moscow on Friday of sending saboteurs into eastern Ukraine to stage an incident that could provide President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia with a pretext for ordering an invasion of parts or all of the country.
The White House did not release details of the evidence it had collected to back up its charge, though one official said it was a mix of intercepted communications and observations of the movements of people. In an email, a U.S. official wrote that “Russia is laying the groundwork to have the option of fabricating a pretext for invasion, including through sabotage activities and information operations, by accusing Ukraine of preparing an imminent attack against Russian forces in eastern Ukraine.”
John F. Kirby, the Pentagon spokesman, called the intelligence about the operation “very credible” when asked about it at a Pentagon briefing on Friday.
The U.S. official who described the intelligence, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, added that the assessment found that “the Russian military plans to begin these activities several weeks before a military invasion, which could begin between mid-January and mid-February.
We saw this playbook in 2014 with Crimea.” Russia annexed the Crimean Peninsula, a part of Ukraine, that year. It also sent military forces, who operated without wearing uniforms, into the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine, where the war has been grinding on.

From military deployments to cyber attacks, Belarus is now clearly a full participant in Russia’s escalating campaign against Ukraine.
Russia began moving troops into Belarus this week, ostensibly in preparation for joint military exercises scheduled to take place in February. The exercises, named United Resolve, will reportedly be held in western Belarus near to the borders with Ukraine, Poland, and Lithuania.
The move came as Vladimir Putin’s Russia continued to concentrate an estimated 100,000 troops in areas close to its border with Ukraine and as Moscow steadily expanded its military footprintin Belarus. Russia said on January 18 that 12 SU-35 fighter jets, two divisions of S-400 air defense systems, and a division of Pantsir-S air defense systems were currently being deployed in Belarus.
The additional deployment of Russian forces to Belarus means that Moscow can now attack Ukraine from Russia in the east and southeast, from the annexed Crimean peninsula in the south, and from Belarus in the north.
Basing troops in Belarus provides Russia with one particularly important logistical advantage. It gives Moscow the ability to reach Kyiv, which is just 90 kilometers from the Belarusian border, without crossing the Dnipro River. Military analysts fear that if the Kremlin launches simultaneous offensives from the north, south, and east, such a multi-pronged attack could severely stretch Ukraine’s defenses.
Konrad Muzyka, director of the Poland-based Rochan consultancy, told Reuters that as a result of the growing Russian presence in Belarus, Ukraine will be forced to spread its troops thinner and divert forces from positions facing southwest Russia. “They don’t have enough manpower so they’ll have to make choices,” Muzyka commented.

The UK foreign office said in a Saturday statement it has information that the Russian government is planning to "install a pro-Russian leader in Kyiv as it considers whether to invade and occupy Ukraine."

"The former Ukrainian MP Yevhen Murayev is being considered as a potential candidate," the British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said. Murayev told CNN Saturday "there is nothing to comment on" regarding the allegations, as he is a Ukrainian national and still facing Russian sanctions.
The statement went on to name four other former Ukrainian officials, saying, "We have information that the Russian intelligence services maintain links with numerous former Ukrainian politicians" including Serhiy Arbuzov, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine from 2012 to 2014, and acting Prime Minister in 2014; Andriy Kluyev, First Deputy Prime Minister from 2010 to 2012 and Chief of Staff to former Ukrainian President Yanukovich, Vladimir Sivkovich, former Deputy Head of the Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council (RNBO); Mykola Azarov, Prime Minister of Ukraine from 2010-2014, it said.
"Some of these have contact with Russian intelligence officers currently involved in the planning for an attack on Ukraine," the British foreign office statement added. Russia has denied allegations it is planning to attack Ukraine.

Canada extends mission in support of Ukraine’s military

Canada is extending its military training mission in support of Ukrainian security forces by three years and pledging an additional $268m ($340m Canadian) to the programme, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced.
Sixty additional Canadian military personnel will be deployed “within days” as part of Operation UNIFIER, Trudeau told reporters, while the number of troops on the ground is authorised to reach up to 400.
“Let there be no mistake that Canada, alongside all of our democratic allies, stands strong for Ukraine and everything we do is motivated by our pursuit of de-escalation and a diplomatic solution,” Trudeau said.
Canada’s minister of defence, Anita Anand, will be travelling to Latvia and Ukraine in the coming days.
